Give a gift of Love and Life this Christmas!

Providing health care to indigent patients.  Educating children about climate change.  Giving street children quality education, a home, and other life necessities.  Building a world-class science museum.  Scholarships for poor but deserving students.  Helping sexually abused and trafficked women.

These are only a few of the things that the partners of the Philippine Development Foundation or PhilDev do, day in and day out.

We encourage you to browse through our partners list or e-mail me your question/s on any one of our partners, so you can also do your part in making the Philippines a better country for all of us.

Give a gift of love and life this Christmas by donating to one of our partners in honor of your loved one!*

*If you fill out the tribute section in our donation form, we will also send a letter to let your loved one know that you gave a gift to PhilDev or one of our partners in their honor.

quoteThe sum of your giving back is not as important as you giving back some.

How inspiring!  I hope a lot more people will follow this and believe that we can all contribute to a better world, however much and however way we can.

Clara O. Corpus Foundation: A Partner in Priest Formation

Clara O. Corpus Foundation continues to be a shining light for men who have dedicated themselves to the religious life. Just recently, the foundation turned over P660,000 worth of donations to San Jose Major Seminary and P500,000 to St. John Vianney Theological Seminary to be used for the education of needy seminarians.

The foundation aims to provide board, lodging and educational support for seminarians. Since the Foundation started in 2001, around 10 seminarians have been ordained as priests and deployed to provinces around the Philippines. COCF continues to donate to the Mother Butler Foundation, a charitable organization founded by Mrs. Clara Oben Corpus in 1959.

The board and lodging cost of a seminarian has risen at San Jose Major Seminary and St. John Vianney Theological Seminary. In both seminaries, it is now P5,000.00 a month or P50,000.00 a year, excluding the two months when the seminarian is on vacation. COCF President Antonio Ma. O. Corpus appeals to generous filipinos overseas to help support our young needy seminarians who aspire to become priests. Bishop Federico O. Escaler, S.J.,D.D. is COCF’s Chairman and Fr. Catalino G. Arevalo, S.J. is the Vice-President.
